How To Survive When You Lose Insurance Benefits

You may think it won’t happen to you, but more and more Americans are waking up every day to find out they are jobless. I know, I am one of them. “It won’t happen to me”, I thought, “My job is secure.”. Turns out, it wasn’t as secure as I thought, obviously. When You lose your job you begin to feel as if your world is crumbling down. No money, no income (unless you qualify for Unemployment), and worst of all – No Benefits! And no, I don’t just mean the Paid Days off kind. I mean, what was I supposed to do about Medical, Dental, Vision?

First thing I did was look into Cobra. I quickly found out that it was NOT the option for me. To receive the same coverage I was getting, by Cobra Benefits were going to cost me over $400/month – And I am SINGLE! God forbid I had a family. Needless to say, there was no way I could afford to pay that and still stay a float. But what was I going to do about my medications? Doctor visits? Or If I was in an accident?

I found myself waking up from scary nightmares every morning, getting barely little sleep. This is when I decided there HAD to be something better out there for me. Well, I was right, there was something better for my situation. It took me a long time to find though!

At first I did an internet search for Affordable Health Individual Insurance. I was surprised with all the results I was able to pull up on Google. But at the same time, it was so overwhelming! Half of these companies didn’t practice in my State, and it was SO hard to get to a place where I actually got a quote or saw any details of the coverage that was offered. I don’t think that’s too much to ask!

I typed in my zip code, and it quickly retrieved a ton of Health Insurance Plans that were available in my State, and tailored to my needs. AMAZING! Then I read a little further… turns out this site is the ONLY site online that does this type of service. No wonder it took me so long to find it! But, regardless of that fact I finally had some hope.

In the next step I filled out the Zero Obligation Application for the Health Plan that was in my budget and best met my needs. It was forwarded directly to the Well Known Insurance Company and they instantly got in contact with me to solidify my quote. It was so fast! I literally had Health Coverage the next day. Could this be for real? Turns out it was.
